Are you traveling to Fort Lauderdale for a vacation? Check out these secluded beaches in the area, ideal for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city for a peaceful getaway.

Delray Beach

Delray Beach offers an escape from your busy daily life with soft, peaceful sands, deep-blue waters, and a quaint village. After lounging in the sun and sand, you can hit the local boutique shops, art galleries, and fine-dining establishments right along the waterfront and Atlantic Avenue.

Lauderdale-By-The-Sea

Lauderdale-By-The-Sea is a secluded and hidden beach that offers easy access to waterfront dining and quirky souvenir shops but is also serene and peaceful. It’s a hideaway that lets you not only relax, but it also offers access to a coral reef for snorkeling just offshore.

Dania Beach

Located just south of Fort Lauderdale, Dania Beach is considered to be among the best-kept secrets in the region. It offers shady palm trees over warm sands and a walkable fishing pier over the ocean. You’ll also find a historic arts and cultural district with antiques, ice cream parlors, pubs, and seafood restaurants. It’s a small town that’s big on character.

Hollywood Beach

Though less secluded than the other beaches on our list, Hollywood Beach is famed for the sheer fun and excitement it offers. You’ll experience a 2.5-mile-long boardwalk with street performers, shops, and family fun. In-line skating, bike riding, kayaking, and beach volleyball are all popular here, and there are plenty of dining and shopping opportunities as well.
