Engine and Performance Specs
The engine on the 2020 Kia Forte GT is a 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder that kicks out a whopping 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. It comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission, but for those who like a track experience, a seven-speed dual-clutch manual transmission is available. The manual also comes with paddle shifters for a race-car experience.
The new suspension trades out the standard torsion beam for an independent suspension similar to the multilink rear suspension offered in some competitors’ models.
