The Kia Forte GT is an all-new, high-performance variant of the maker’s flagship compact sedan that comes with astonishing new specs. Let’s check out the engine, transmission, suspension, grip, and technology it offers.

Sports-Car Experience

The new 2020 Kia Forte GT is aimed at those looking for a sports-car experience in a practical sedan. It seeks to set a new standard for small cars with its powerful performance, aesthetic upgrades, and technology features. From power and performance to technology, this is a small sedan that seeks to offer it all.

Engine and Performance Specs

The engine on the 2020 Kia Forte GT is a 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder that kicks out a whopping 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. It comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission, but for those who like a track experience, a seven-speed dual-clutch manual transmission is available. The manual also comes with paddle shifters for a race-car experience.

The new suspension trades out the standard torsion beam for an independent suspension similar to the multilink rear suspension offered in some competitors’ models. This will offer a solid and athletic ride. Finally, optional Michelin Sport touring tires and 18-inch wheels will offer outstanding grip and traction in ideal driving conditions.

Technology Specs

In addition to Kia’s outstanding UVO infotainment interface, some of the technology highlights include options like power-adjust seats, blind-spot monitoring, a sunroof, cooled front seats, adaptive cruise control, and others.
