No — walk-ins are welcome any time during sales hours. We do recommend booking ahead if you have a specific vehicle in mind, because an appointment lets us confirm the vehicle is still available, pull it up front, have it cleaned and fueled, and pair you with a product specialist so you are not waiting. You can request an appointment by phone or directly from any vehicle listing on our website.
Yes. Hollywood Kia is a franchised, factory-authorized Kia dealership and part of Morgan Automotive Group, and we are an accredited Better Business Bureau business. Being factory-authorized means we sell new Kia vehicles with the full factory warranty, we are authorized to perform Kia warranty and recall work at no charge to you, our technicians are factory-trained on Kia vehicles and EVs, and we stock Genuine Kia parts. It is also what allows us to certify eligible vehicles through the Kia Certified Pre-Owned program.
We sell the full new Kia lineup plus Kia Certified Pre-Owned vehicles and used vehicles from other manufacturers. The current Kia lineup includes the K4 sedan and hatchback and K5 sedan; the Soul, Seltos, Sportage, Sorento and Carnival; hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions of the Sportage and Sorento; the Carnival Hybrid; and the all-electric Niro EV, EV6 and EV9. Availability of specific model years, trims and Telluride inventory changes constantly, so our online New Vehicles and Pre-Owned search pages are always the accurate list.
Yes. Our online tools let you handle most of the purchase from home: calculate a payment, check your buying power, get a trade-in value, and submit a secure credit pre-approval. Most customers complete the numbers and the credit application online, then come in for a short test drive and to sign. If you would prefer to complete everything remotely and have the vehicle delivered, tell your sales consultant up front and we will structure the deal that way.
Florida charges a 6% state sales tax on motor vehicle purchases, and Broward County adds a 1% discretionary sales surtax. Florida applies county surtax only to the first $5,000 of the purchase price, so the Broward portion is capped at $50 per vehicle. On a $40,000 vehicle that is roughly $2,400 in state tax plus $50 in county surtax. Two things worth knowing: tax is calculated after your trade-in allowance is deducted, and the surtax is based on your registration address, not ours — so a Miami-Dade or Palm Beach County buyer pays their own county's rate.
A dealer fee (also called a pre-delivery service charge or documentary fee) covers costs such as inspecting, cleaning and adjusting the vehicle and preparing the sale documents. Florida law does not set a dollar cap on this fee, but it does require the charge to be clearly disclosed on every document that itemizes it — and like any line on the deal, it is negotiable as part of the overall numbers. Beyond the vehicle price you can also expect Florida sales tax and county surtax, Florida title and registration fees, and the manufacturer's destination charge on a new vehicle. Ask us for a written out-the-door figure and we will itemize every line.
Yes, and we encourage it. The out-the-door price is the only number that lets you compare dealers fairly: vehicle price, plus dealer fee, plus Florida sales tax and county surtax, plus tag, title and registration, plus destination charge on a new vehicle, minus rebates and your trade-in allowance. Request one by phone, email or in person on a specific stock number or VIN and we will send it to you in writing.
Start with the trade-in valuation tool on our website for an instant estimate based on your year, make, model, mileage and condition. Treat that as a starting range — a firm written offer requires a short in-person appraisal, because tires, service history, accident history, cosmetic condition and current South Florida demand all move the number. Appraisals are free, take about 15–20 minutes, and carry no obligation to buy.
Yes. We obtain your 10-day payoff amount directly from your lender and pay the loan off as part of the transaction. If your vehicle is worth more than you owe, that positive equity goes toward your down payment. If you owe more than it is worth — negative equity — the difference can often be rolled into the new financing, though that increases your loan amount and payment. We will show you both scenarios in writing before you commit to anything.
Yes, and it is one of the most overlooked reasons to trade in rather than sell privately. Florida law allows a trade-in credit: when the trade happens as part of the same transaction, sales tax is calculated on the difference between the new vehicle's price and your trade allowance, not on the full price. On a $40,000 vehicle with a $10,000 trade, you are taxed on $30,000 — roughly $600 less in state tax.
There is no single cutoff score. Lenders weigh your credit history, income, debt-to-income ratio, down payment and the vehicle itself, and different lenders approve different credit tiers. Stronger credit generally earns a lower rate, but we work with a broad network of banks and credit unions that finance a wide range of profiles, including first-time buyers and customers rebuilding their credit. The fastest way to find out exactly where you stand is our secure online pre-approval, which takes a few minutes.
Yes. We offer ITIN financing programs for buyers who file taxes using an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number rather than a Social Security number. Requirements vary by lender, but you should generally expect to provide your ITIN, a valid government-issued photo ID or passport, proof of income such as recent pay stubs or tax returns, proof of residence such as a utility bill, and a down payment. Call our finance team at 954-967-5665 and we will tell you exactly what to bring before you make the trip.
Leasing usually means a lower monthly payment, a smaller amount due at signing, and a vehicle that stays under the factory bumper-to-bumper warranty the whole time — but you accept a mileage limit, wear-and-tear standards, and no ownership equity at the end. Financing means a higher payment and no mileage cap, and the vehicle is yours once it is paid off. Leasing tends to fit predictable annual mileage and drivers who want a new vehicle every three years; financing tends to fit long-term owners and high-mileage commuters. Ask us to run both structures on the same vehicle so you are comparing real numbers rather than rules of thumb.
We recommend scheduling. You can book online through our service scheduler or call the service department at 954-967-5911. An appointment reserves a technician and a bay for you and significantly reduces your wait. We do accept walk-ins for quick services such as oil changes when the schedule allows, though wait times vary — mid-week mornings are typically fastest.
For most current Kia gas models, the normal-service interval is engine oil, filter and tire rotation every 7,500 to 8,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. Kia's severe-service schedule roughly halves that — about every 5,000 miles or 6 months, and shorter still on turbocharged engines. South Florida driving frequently meets Kia's severe-service definition: extreme heat, stop-and-go traffic, repeated short trips and coastal salt air are all listed conditions. Intervals are model- and engine-specific, so confirm against the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual or ask our service advisors to look up your VIN.
No. Kia America does not include complimentary factory-paid scheduled maintenance with new vehicles, despite what some third-party websites claim. What Kia does offer is Kia Care — prepaid maintenance plans you purchase that lock in the cost of your scheduled services in advance, at Kia dealers nationwide. Buying the plan up front is usually less expensive than paying visit by visit, and it can be included in your financing. Ask our service or finance team which plan matches your annual mileage.
No. Under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer or dealer cannot void your warranty simply because routine maintenance or repairs were performed elsewhere, or because an aftermarket part was used. What you do have to do is perform the required scheduled maintenance on time and keep your records and receipts — missing maintenance is a legitimate reason a claim can be denied. Warranty and recall repairs themselves must be performed by an authorized Kia dealer, and our factory-trained technicians and Genuine Kia parts are built to Kia's specifications, which is why many owners choose to service with us.
Enter your 17-digit VIN at the NHTSA recall lookup on nhtsa.gov, check the Kia owner portal, or simply call our service department at 954-967-5911 and we will run your VIN for open recalls and service campaigns. Recall repairs are always free, regardless of your vehicle's age, mileage, warranty status or where you bought it. If you own a 2020–2024 Kia Telluride, check your VIN now — there is an active recall involving the front power seat switch, and Kia has advised affected owners to park outside until the remedy is installed. We can schedule that repair for you at no charge.
Yes to both. Our parts department stocks Genuine Kia OEM parts — filters, brakes, batteries, wiper blades, belts and fluids — and we can special-order anything not on the shelf, typically within a few business days. Genuine Kia parts are engineered to your vehicle's original specifications and carry a Kia parts warranty. Reach the parts department directly at 954-967-7415.
Kia offers Genuine Accessories by model, including all-weather floor mats and cargo liners, roof rack crossbars and carriers, tow hitches, splash guards, illuminated door sills, cargo organizers and interior trim upgrades. Our technicians can install them, and in many cases accessories can be included in your vehicle financing rather than paid for separately. Give us your model year and trim and we will confirm exactly what fits.
Kia's headline coverage is a 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty covering the engine, transmission or transaxle, axles, CV joints, differentials and drive shafts. Alongside it, every new Kia carries a 5-year/60,000-mile basic (bumper-to-bumper) limited warranty, a 5-year/100,000-mile anti-perforation warranty against rust-through, and 5 years/60,000 miles of 24-hour roadside assistance. All terms run from the vehicle's original in-service date, whichever limit is reached first. Vehicles used commercially carry reduced powertrain coverage.
This is the single most misunderstood thing about Kia warranties, so here is the plain answer. The 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain coverage applies to the original owner only. When the vehicle changes hands, powertrain coverage re-designates to 5 years/60,000 miles measured from the original in-service date — not from your purchase date. The 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty, the anti-perforation warranty and roadside assistance transfer at their full remaining terms. So a privately purchased 4-year-old Kia with 50,000 miles has roughly one year of powertrain coverage left, not six. This is exactly the gap a Kia Certified Pre-Owned vehicle closes — see the next question.
A Kia Certified Pre-Owned vehicle is within the current model year plus six years and under 80,000 miles, and has passed a 164-point inspection by factory-trained Kia technicians. Certification restores a 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty measured from the vehicle's original in-service date and zero miles — meaning a second owner gets the full original term back, not the reduced 5/60. It also adds 1 year/12,000 miles of Platinum comprehensive coverage from your purchase date, roadside assistance for the powertrain term, and rental and travel-breakdown benefits. A per-visit deductible and a transfer fee apply. CPO Lite is a second tier for vehicles 7 to 10 model years old with up to 100,000 miles: a 135-point inspection, a shorter powertrain warranty, 12 months of roadside assistance and a vehicle history report. Ask us which tier a specific vehicle qualifies for — the difference in coverage is substantial.
Kia covers the high-voltage battery and the major electric-drive components for 10 years/100,000 miles. On the EV6, EV9 and Niro EV this EV System Warranty covers the battery pack, drive motor, reduction gear, power control unit and onboard charger; on hybrids and plug-in hybrids the equivalent Hybrid System Warranty covers the battery pack and hybrid-specific components. Coverage also addresses excessive capacity loss — a battery that degrades below roughly 70% of its original usable capacity within the coverage period is eligible for repair or replacement. Terms can vary by state and model year, so review the warranty manual for your specific vehicle.
The EV6 is EPA-rated at roughly 237 miles with the standard battery and up to about 319 miles with the long-range rear-drive battery, around 295 miles with all-wheel drive. The three-row EV9 is rated at roughly 230 miles for the standard-range model and about 280 to 305 miles depending on battery and drivetrain. Both are built on Kia's 800-volt E-GMP architecture, which is why they charge so quickly: on a 350 kW DC fast charger, both can go from 10% to 80% in roughly 20 to 25 minutes. The Niro EV is rated at about 253 miles but charges more slowly, closer to 45 minutes on DC fast charging. Range varies with speed, climate control use and heat.
Yes. Current EV6 and EV9 models come with a native NACS charging port, so they plug directly into Tesla Superchargers with no adapter — over 21,500 stalls are available to Kia drivers. Earlier CCS-equipped Kia EVs, including the Niro EV and older EV6 and EV9 model years, can use Superchargers with a NACS adapter available through your Kia dealer. At home, a 240-volt Level 2 charger matches the EV6 and EV9's 10.9 kW onboard charger and refills the battery overnight — roughly seven to eight hours for an EV6. Every Kia EV also includes a portable cable that works on a standard household outlet, which is slow but fine for topping off a short daily commute. Ask us about the charging setup that fits your parking situation before you buy.
They step up in size. The Sportage is Kia's compact two-row SUV — the most fuel-efficient and easiest to park, available as a gas, hybrid or plug-in hybrid. The Sorento is a midsize SUV with a usable third row that seats six or seven, best suited to occasional extra passengers rather than daily adult use, and it is also offered in gas, hybrid and plug-in hybrid form. The Telluride is the largest, a true midsize three-row SUV with adult-usable third-row seating and the most cargo space behind it. If you rarely carry more than four people, the Sportage; if you need a third row sometimes, the Sorento; if you carry six to eight people regularly, the Telluride.
It comes down to where you park and how far you drive. A hybrid never plugs in, needs no charging equipment, and simply delivers better fuel economy in the stop-and-go traffic that dominates Broward and Miami-Dade — the easiest choice if you park on the street or in a garage without an outlet. A plug-in hybrid covers most local driving on electricity but keeps a gas engine for trips up I-95 or evacuation drives, which makes it a practical hurricane-season hedge; it does require somewhere to plug in. A full EV is the lowest cost per mile and the smoothest to drive, and makes the most sense if you can charge where you park overnight. Florida's heat is easier on batteries than deep cold, and all three are covered by Kia's 10-year/100,000-mile battery warranty. Tell us your daily commute and parking situation and we will point you to the right one.
